Ditra Over Floor Leveler

What is your recommendation to install ditra over existing flooring.

Ditra over floor leveler.

Ditra and ditra xl were designed and tested for thin bed ceramic tile and natural stone applications. My initial thoughts include removing the existing finish wood floor then install ditra and modified thin set over the wood plank floor and lastly unmodified and ceramic tile over ditra. I m interesting in hearing your thoughts before i begin my renovation. About 110 square feet.

Ditra over self leveler. Can i use self leveling compounds over schluter ditra or schluter ditra xl. For this project the ditra is being installed over radiant heating element embedded in self leveling mortar. It can be installed over a variety of substrates including plywood osb existing vinyl structural planks and concrete.

Any leveling of the subfloor must be done prior to the installation of the membrane. My bathroom floor needs some floor leveler well a lot of leveler. I used nova plan easy plus. It is 6 x7 and the floor slopes a quarter inch over the 6 width.

Ditra is a versatile product and can do more than just provide an uncoupling membrane. We recommend unmodified thin set mortar on a floor that has been leveled with a self leveling product. I have a few questions i want to be clear on before i do anything.
